Land Rover Range Rover Velar

Land Rover Range Rover Velar is indeed one of the finest and good looking SUVs in its category. The SUV is available in R-Dynamic S variant in both petrol as well as diesel engine option. The updated Velar is one of the safer, cleaner, and smarter SUVs in its segment and is also one of the most technologically advanced luxury SUV in the world. In India, the Velar is limited to four colour options, including - Fuji White, Santorini Black, Portofino Blue, and Silicon Silver. 

Exterior 

The Range Rover Velar gets a familiar family face with sleek LED headlamps, a bold bumper, and a large honeycomb mesh grille. The vehicle rides over an imposing set of 20-inch glossy silver alloy wheels which is further accentuated by a sloped roof and a raked D-Pillar. The rear section also houses fog lamps and offers a parking aid. The vehicle also features the traditional large U-shaped LED taillamps along with an integrated exhaust finisher. For a superior ownership experience, the Velar offers a 3D surround camera and electronic air suspension.

Interior

Along with premium leather upholstery, the Velar offers a 10-inch touchscreen, a 10-inch lower touchscreen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Remote, and a newly designed interface. Interestingly, the vehicle also gets the new Pivi Pro infotainment system with standard features. Moreover, the vehicle’s infotainment, telematics, and various control modules can all be updated with a remote software update. 

As for safety and convenience, the vehicle offers six airbags, 360-degree surround cameras, wade sensing, all-terrain progress control, air suspension, adaptive dynamics, ISOFIX, and more. 

Engine 

The Range Rover Velar is available in 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engine options. The D200 trim gets the next-generation four-cylinder Ingenium diesel engine that produces 198bhp at 4,250rpm and 430Nm of torque between 1,750 to 2,500rpm. The diesel version has a top speed of 210kmph and is capable of accelerating from 0-100kmph in 8.20 seconds. On the other hand, the P250 petrol engine generates 243bhp at 5,500rpm and 365Nm of torque between 1,300rpm to 4,500rpm. Both the engine options come mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission with an all-wheel drivetrain.
