Kia EV6 Facelift: The Kia EV6 facelift has been unveiled in South Korea, which gets subtle design changes inside and out, along with a larger battery pack.
Variants: The current India-spec EV6 is offered in two variants: GT Line and GT Line AWD.
Seating Capacity: It is offered in a 5-seater configuration.
Battery Pack, Electric Motor and Range: The India-spec Kia EV6 gets a 77.4 kWh battery pack and the following powertrain choices: a single motor rear-wheel drive (229 PS/ 350 Nm), and a dual motor all-wheel drive (325 PS/ 605 Nm) setup. The EV6 has an ARAI-claimed range of up to 708 km.
Charging:
- A 350 kW DC fast charger: 18 minutes (10-80 per cent)
- A 50 kW DC fast charger: 73 minutes (10-80 percent)
Features: Key features include curved 12.3-inch displays for the instrument cluster and touchscreen infotainment system, a 14-speaker Meridian sound system, 64-colour ambient lighting, wireless phone charging, dual-zone climate control, ventilated and powered front seats, and a sunroof.
Safety: In terms of safety it gets eight airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), and advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) like automatic emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane-keep assist, and blind spot monitoring.
Rivals: Kia’s electric crossover locks horns with the Hyundai Ioniq 5, Volvo XC40 Recharge, and the upcoming Skoda Enyaq iV. It is also an affordable alternative to the BMW i4. The Volvo C40 Recharge can also be regarded as an alternative to the Kia EV6.
